This rice cooker makes excellent rice. My previous cooker was also a Zojirushi but was made in China. (This one is made in Japan) It looked similar to this, but did not perform as well, leaving crunchy and mushy areas within the same batch of rice.

Love it Love it Love it
This rice cooker is everything it is billed to be and then some. It is much more compact than I imagined. Cooks rice better than several of the local Asian restaurants do. I've used it practically daily since it arrived and have not had any bad experiences. I would recommend this rice cooker for anyone who wants perfectly cooked rice that can be eaten with chopsticks easily.

Very nice rice cooker
I have a Zojirushi bread machine so I was sure of the same brand of rice cooker. Since I live at high altitude rice making is problematic and Zojirushi, with it's fuzzy logic solved my altitude problems. The instructions are written for European customers. Instead of measuring with the supplied cup I use a weight scale for the rice ( I use Wonder rice) and measure the water in the rice cooker bowl. The product is certainly sturdy and very easy to clean.

The rice cooker of my dreams
I purchased this rice cooker from the recommendation from a japanese cooking class I took, because of the great selections of different types of rice you can cook with it. I am a brown rice lover and could not seem to get my short grain brown rice to cook correctly, sticky like the white kind, with this cooker the brown rice came out the way I wanted it, firm and sticky.

Happy with Rice Cooker
I have been very happy with my Zojirushi Neuro Fuzzy Rice Cooker. It cooks white rice to a lovely consistency. It does well with brown rice (it does take quite awhile, because there is a soak cycle before the cooking cycle). And it makes a nice porridge/oatmeal, especially good when the porridge is cooked with some already cooked brown rice. I like the convenience of not having to watch my oatmeal on the stove. I actually make some home-cooked natural foods for my dog, so I like being able to make oatmeal and brown rice without having to monitor, check or watch. Just put in the ingredients, press a couple of buttons and wait. My husband frequently makes white rice. There are many other settings that I haven't explored. The inner surfaces are non-stick and very easy to clean (though you need to wash by hand). It will keep things warm for a very long time. It looks like a white space age helmet or a small white round spaceship on the countertop. It doesn't take up much room. We have it out all the time. I can't really compare with other similar rice cookers. I have only had a cheap one in the past. But I have been quite pleased with this purchase. I did quite a bit of research before buying. Since we don't tend to cook more than 1 or 2 cups of rice at a time, we didn't really need a rice cooker this large.
