A great green
I ordered this because I am composting for my garden. It looks lovely on the counter and it does exactly what it says--keeps all compost without a single whiff of decomposition. The bucket is easy to carry and empty and clean, and I purchased a second one to give to my daughter for a housewarming gift, novel and something any new homeowner with a yard would appreciate. Highly recommended--better than I even thought it would be.

Bamboo compost pail
Product arrived quickly and in good shape. Seems to work as advertised. We use it not to compost but to discard food products in the "green waste" container.

Flawed Lid!
Greetings,
I bought this item for myself and a friend. I can't get the plastic insert and charcoal filters to stay attached to the lid. Very frustrating when I have a handful of kitchen scraps and I pull off the lid while the plastic rim and filters stay on the bucket! Now I have to put the scraps in the sink, rinse my hands and use both of them to pull off the insert. I would recommend this item to friends if they could make a more sturdy lid. I can't tell if this is a common defect or if I got a lemon.
Best regards,
D Miller

Convenient, attractive & love interior pail
I use this compost pail all the time now as I cook, just throw in the scraps - and then as it fills up take it out to the compost bin.
I used to have a bigger pail that I kept under the counter but it was just too big and inconvenient so I didn't use it.
This is attractive, a good size, and the best part is the interior plastic pail with the handle. Just pull it out of the bamboo container and then toss out the scraps, rinse the pail and it's ready to go back in. Makes it much easier than those ceramic ones taht don't have an interior pail. I love that it has the filters on it also, the construction is very sturdy.

Bamboo Compost Pail
Everybody should have one of these. A great way to get rid of vegetable and fruit peels, and helping the environment at the same time!
