As expected from KitchenAid

I bought this mixer for my mother, and she loves it. She uses it all the time. She had made bread and many other things and she says it exceeded her expectations. Very sturdy. However, later found the same mixer for almost $100 less at Lowe's online.

KitchenAid 7qt. stand mixer

I am a cookie baker for my own business. I purchased this item so I could make larger batches of cookie dough. That is the only feature I am happy with, the size of the bowl. I also have a Kitchenaid stand mixer 4.5qt which I love. The motor on the 7qt mixer has a very high pitched whining sound, the steel paddle is already chipping & I do not like the fact that you can only lower the bowl without tilting the top back. I have to struggle to get the paddle out of the cookie dough.

My husband is the chef and he has wanted a Kitchen Aid professiona stand mixer for yes. He is thrilled with it. He likes the versatility of it and the power. He likes to make bread. My only complaint is that there was suppose to be a form for him to fill out to recieve either a pasta maker or ice cream maker for free. The form was not included. He would have chosen the ice cream maker.
