For maximum aroma and flavor retention nothing beats this burr coffee grinder. Computer controlled special grinding heads cut the angles and shapes of the steel burrs to within 0.1 mm precision (1/250 of one inch). Burrs are produced as matched pairs and are hand assembled in Switzerland for precise fit. The multiple gear motor produces the slowest grinding action (450 rpm) resulting in highest precision grinding from Turkish fine to percolator coarse. Lowest noise conical burr grinder.

Does a much better job than our old Cuisinart burr grinder. Quieter and easier to clean too. It is much more expensive however. But I think it is worth the price.

Great grinder, but it's not stainless

We are very pleased with the grinder. It is simple to use, relatively easy to clean, the price is reasonable, and quieter than expected. Our disappointment was that it does not match the cooking.com description which calls it a "Stainless Infinity Conical Burr Grinder." Actually, the box says the color is "burnished silver," which means a dull silver plastic. We had hoped to match our Capresso coffee maker, but the are very different finishes.

Fantastic!

I bought my first burr grinder about 3 years ago. Paid $100. for it and was disappointed as it didn't grind the coffee fine enough for me. Then I bought a $200.00 grinder, which worked well enough but the coffee bin was black so it was difficult to see the coffee and it was loud. One day it just stopped grinding. I decided to try for something in the middle price range this Capresso is wonderful. The coffee is ground exactly as I like it, it is quiet, clean and with a clear coffee bin it is easy to see how much coffee is in there! I had been shopping around and know that most places sell this for $149.00 I got it here for $89. I am one happy camper as they used to say.
It is easy to clean, but I suggest you use a pastry brush and/or a soft bristle toothbrush.

Quiet and efficient

After using a Cuisinart (twice) and having each die in less than a year, I decided to try a slightly more expensive different brand of burr grinder. This one is working like a champ, and I really love it. It operates much quieter, and does a fine grind very efficiently. It also comes with a little brush and directions on how to clean it - something that wasn't included (or even possible) with the Cuisinart. Takes a few uses to figure out how long to run it for a pot of coffee's worth, but that's the only constructive criticism I can come up with. Otherwise, I'd recommended most highly.

So quiet you wonder whether it's working

This is a great grinder! So quiet, not at all messy, multiple settings, large capacity (yet I often use it to grind just three tablespoons), plus it's attractive. It is not stainless steel, however, just a heavy plastic (?) with a stainless look. I am thoroughly satisfied, and our whole family really enjoys it.
