I was looking for a blue coffee maker and toaster for my kitchen. There were more options for blue toasters but Hamilton Beach was the only brand that offers a complete line of small appliances in colors. The Intrigue Blue is more of a slate blue... not as dark as KitchenAid's appliances. Since it is all metal it is sturdy and heavy. The back angles up giving it a more retro look. The cancel button works well as does the bagel setting.

Have only been using this unit for about 2 months but so far toasts quite evenly. Easy to operate; includes a defrost for frozen foods i.e. waffles, and a reheat option. Easy to empty waste container, and looks quite good into the bargain. I am hoping it has durability to match its performace and good looks.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Elegant for a toaster. A nice change from your standard bread burner. Toasts evenly and has very nice features you don't find on standard toasters.Seems to take a little longer to toast and is a little bigger than I expected. A good value.
