Cedar cooking!

I was watching Guy's Big Bite and saw the recipe for cedar plank salmon. It looked so good I wanted to try it out but had no cedar planks. I bought this set of planks after looking over the other available products based on value. I usually buy higher end products as they tend to last longer and are better quality but how can you someone really mess up a cedar plank, especially since it is a piece of wood that will get used for a few times and then tossed out.
After receiving the planks, I made the cedar plank salmon and my wife and I loved it! I thought it gave the salmon a nice flavor and will definitely use it again. The planks were just the right size and fit perfectly in my sink for soaking (this was another factor in choosing these particular planks). Make sure to check the dimensions of the planks you are considering buying to make sure they will fit in your sink for easy soaking. I hope this review helped. I will definitely purchase these planks again when my others have expired.

I was very disappointed (for the first time in all these orders) that they can only be used a few times - I never knew that and I don't recall it being disclosed in the ad -

I love these planks. I was tired of having my fish stick to the grilling basket or fall through the grate! Not only do these planks solve that problem, but they add a smoky-woodsy flavor to the fish. Also a great gift for cooks. Both useful and inexpensive. Great combo!

Overall, I do not have a lot of experience with cedar cooking planks. But these worked as they were supposed to, not getting burnt, but instilling a nice flavor to both the salmon and the pork that I cooked on them.

Very high quality product. Very easy to use. Just soak for 2 hours and you're ready to go. Food takes slightly longer to cook using the planks because you can't turn the heat up as high but the taste is worth it. The food is infused with a delightful cedar flavor. The product is also very easy to clean. Nothing we've cooked on it has gotten stuck on. Love the product.
