simple, Real Comfort Food from a Bama Lady
I've been cooking southern food for many years (more than 35) and find this to be one of the books I go to every week. The recipes are easy with ingredients I have on hand. AND, although we live in Texas, I can teach my daughters to cook the real southern favorites I grew up on - from pimento cheese and cheese straws to banana pudding and red velvet cake.
I bought copies for my grown daughters who put this book top of their Christmas list.
We love Paula, her cooksbooks, magazines, and show.
From a true Southern cook and fan - ROLL TIDE!

I have not made any of the recipes in the cookbook yet due to the fact that I received it for Christmas. I have read through the book and there appears to be a lot of recipes that I will try.

Can't stop cooking
I had tried a few of Paula's recipes from her t.v. shows and they were a huge success at our house and that inspired me to purchase this cookbook. All I can say is: best decision ever! These recipes are simple yet delicious and I get excited everytime my family tries something new. Who knew my boys would like broccoli salad. Anywho, this is a great cookbook that I would highly recommend to anyone!

Great classic Paula receipes
I ordered this book because I wanted the classic Paula receipes that I tasted at The Lady and Sons this past June. I was pleased to find many of them in this book. I also like the spiral binding; it stays open while preparing the dish. :)

Cookbook addict!
I am a cookbook addict. I have well over 300 cookbooks. My Paula Deen cookbooks are at the top of my favorites list. One reason? The recipes call for such basic ingredients such as Bisquick, boxed cake mixes, etc. I have tried so many of the recipes in my books and have loed everyone of them. I plan to continue ordering each cookbook as funds will allow. It may take me a little time, but eventually I will have a Paula Deen exclusive shelf on my cookbook bookshelves!

I wated the basic receipts for everyday foods. I ate at Paula's restaurant while I was there and loved the foods on the buffet. I wanted some of the receipts and thought that was what I was getting. I couldn't fine any of them in the cook book. The cookbook is suppose to be the on used in the restaurant. I bought 7 to give as gifts. This is my views for the cookbook.

Stolen Gift
I purchased this cookbook as a gift for my sister-in-law, but upon receiving it, decided to try some of the recipes before wrapping it. I will end up giving her the book, but I will be purchasing one for myself. The recipes, especially the desserts, are wonderful!

Savannah Country Cookbook
I bought the cookbook to replace the one that had been taken from my set. One of my neighbors borrowed the book and never returned it. Paula Deen seems to be extremely popular in New York City. In this cookbook, however, is the recipe for Peach Cobbler which turned out to raves of excellency every time I made it. So I replaced my book and, now, I'm at peace with the world.
Thank you, Paula Deen, for sharing your receipes and your wonderful laughter. You brighten the day.
