Pricing of cook book

I received my cookbook this past week (Oct.10) from the Paula Deen website and was pretty excited about looking at it, until we went to Sam's Club taday (Oct.15). I was looking at all the cookbooks and spotted the Paula Deen Southern Cooking Bible. I pulled the book from the rack and I noticed the price $18.99 and it was signed in the inside sleeve. Needless to say I'm very disappointed the price I paid and the price Sam's Club sells it for!!!

Signed Cooking Bible - Ha !

I recently purchased 4 cooking bibles (signed copy)and received them as promised. When looking at the signature in each, I found that it is in exactly the same place on the same page and the signature itself has no variation at all!! I refuse to believe these are signed copies by Paula ... more like a xerox signature of Paula's - what a dissappointment! I won't make that mistake again!!

I assume it was going to be Paula authentic hand book signing signature, so I pay the full price for signature book! It turned out it was a machine signature that copies her signature! All I knew it was a signed copy at time was so exicted! However, It was verified by her headquarters it was a machine signature. If I was aware of this in the first place in the order detail or description, I would not purchased it! I would had purchase the normal book and could got it at a lower price at QVC or possibly get it cheaper at Barnes and Noble as an member! However, I like the recipe book, great read and recipes! Good Job Paula... :)

I was disappointed because it has a Lot of her old recipes that are in her other books. I really was expecting New and exciting recipes.
I will not be purchasing anything else from Paula Deen. She has changed so much since her begining shows. It seems now all she wants to do is make a ton of money.

i love the cookbook, but when i purchased an autographed copy i thought it would be a real autograph not a printed signature, while i realize paula is a busy woman it should state it is a copy of an autograph. i wouldnt of payed extra for it. thanks!

Brings Up Memories of My Grandmother

As soon as I received my copy I took time to fix a cup of coffee and snuggle into my favorite chair to see how authentic this cookbook would be. I am Southern through and through and wanted to have a cookbook to share with my husband's family who are not from the South. As soon as I started looking I could begin to faintly hear all the songbirds outside my dear grandmother's kitchen window - it was like being in her kitchen again as a child. Paula has absolutely defined true Southern Cooking with this book. Every recipe reminded me of childhood and home. And I was amazed at how many recipes we Southern cooks simply know by heart! I am gladly giving the second copy I bought to my dear sister-in-law. It will bond us even further, as we both love our kitchens and feeding those we love.

Can't wait to try ALL the recipes in this book. I bought one for myself and one for each of my two daughters in love. Hope they enjoy it as much as I already have. Our plan for Thanksgiving it to have a Paula Deen Day, all recipes for our family meal are to come from this book. It's gonna be a hoot.

AWESOME SOUTHERN COOKBOOK

Paula, my mom never read but read your book on your life from cover to cover all night long. She passed away 2 years ago in November and I bought your new Southern Cookbook because it made me think of my mom and all the good Southern cooking she did over the years and how much she loved you. When you were in Houston, I had my photo taken with you and gave it to my mom before her death. She treasured that photo. Your new cookbook is the best ever. I looked up recipes Mom used to make in there and love knowing I have those recipes handy now. I think your cookbook holder design needs work so that it tilts back. It does not look anything like the one in the online photo of it.

SIGNED COPY?

I like the new cookbook - it looks like it has some tasty recipes. I bought 3 copies for my daughters-in-law for Christmas. I was disappointed that the book, which was advertised as a "signed copy" was really STAMPED with Paula's signature. All 3 of the books I ordered had identical signatures in every single detail. It was quite obvious that they were not hand signed. I thought I was ordering hand signed copies, so I was very disappointed! I guess the only way you can get a real signed copy is to go to a book signing!
