Stay Away!

I bought this product specifically for onions. If I was mad at an onion & just wanted to beat the $#!@ out of it then this product would be great. But if you are a cook like me & actually need to have your onion chopped into pieces, stay away from the OXO!!!

takes effort

Chopping cilantro is never easy, this chopper makes it a bit easier. You have to really wham the top down, and do it for longer than you'd expect, but it does eventually get stuff chopped enough. It is much easier than chopping herbs with a knife, though!

Solid and Useful

Well designed and works well. Designers thought of everything. Can chop into the measurings marked container, then cap it and put it in the fridge. The attached spoon is a little silly! The whole thing is dishwasher safe which makes a big difference compared to other choppers.

It's great. It works just like you see it on TV.
1, 2, 3 and you're done. Perfect for onions and garlic especially.
Plus, it's all dishwasher safe which is a huge bonus. You have to take apart all the pieces (about 5 individual pieces), but it's worth it to throw it in the dishwasher.

Chop Onions Without a Tear

I like the large chopper overall; however, once I chopped an onion and put the leftover away in its own container, it made my refrigerator smell from onion for three days. I took the onion out of the chopper's container and put it into a Tupperware. No problem. It makes life easier chopping items, but if the item has an odor to it, you can not use the self-container.
